Weddings
Natchitoches Parish offers some of the most beautiful venues for your special day. Many choose Beau Jardin or one of the historic Bed and Breakfasts in Natchitoches. Other options include your residence or the office of the Justice of the Peace court.
Judge Patrice Harper can officiate your ceremony in any of the following parishes: Natchitoches, Red River, Caddo, Bossier, Webster, DeSoto, Sabine, Vernon, Beauregard, Allen, and Evangeline. Other parishes require Supreme Court approval and have a three day waiting period.
Evictions
The defendant (Person You Are Evicting) Must Live in Natchitoches Parish – Ward 2.
Read Your Lease to determine if your lessee has waived the Notice to Vacate.
If Needed, A 5-Day Notice to Vacate must be issued by certified mail or hand delivery with a witness present. If there is no lease or the lease is expired the landlord must issue a Written Notice 10 Days prior to the end of the month with a witness present. With either form of notice two copies should be made, one for the lessee and one presented to the court with the completed petition of eviction. Witness must be present in court or return receipt of certified mail delivery.
Ex-Officio Notary
As an ex-officio notary the Justice of the Peace services are limited to include motor vehicles titles, bill of sales, boat titles, and documents coming through the office of the court.
